Many computer users are often dealing with open and save windows in a majority of programs. If we are talking about large hard disks with numerous partitions and a big number of folders, then it's difficult and also time consuming to find a certain folder to save a file in or open a file from. There are times when you can't find the desired folder of all, even if you have looked for it a lot. Fortunately, there is a solution to this and that's FileBox eXtender. This tool adds two buttons to file-open and file-save dialog boxes that show your favorite and recent folders. It also makes many unsizable Windows dialog boxes resizable.

The program is very easy to install, even for beginners and gets the job done in very little time. It can run on most versions of Windows and takes up only 1 MB of hard disk space, thus being able to install on older systems with limited hard disk space.

The interface is organized in tabs and features options for adding items to the menu that will be displayed in any file open and close dialog box. An item can be any folder stored on the hard disk. Besides this, the user can also configure some other options, like setting the resizing percent of a dialog box. Despite the fact that the number of features is large, even a beginner can manage using them because they are highly intuitive.

Exceptions can be added to some programs, for not displaying the program's icons in their dialog boxes. Besides that, the created menu can be tested at any time directly from the software.

Pros:
It adds two icons to any file open and close dialog box, allowing the user to quickly navigate to a desired folder. It also allows resizing any dialog box, even those that normally don't support resizing.

Cons:
The interface seems a bit too simple, even though the number of options is large.

FileBox eXtender is a very good software for quickly and easily finding a folder inside any file dialog box.
